In 2004, Aon Classic Car took over from LDA Classic Car, the classic car insurance specialist.
The "classic car insurance" business was created by LDA more than 50 years ago – in 1968, to be precise.
Aon Classic Car has been at Rétromobile since 1981 and has always presented and showcased highly original and unusual cars.
Today, Aon Classic Car is presenting this French car, restored by Christian Huet, which competed on three separate occasions in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1938 / 1939 / 1949). The Gordini Barquette, a highly unusual car, has not been seen for 70 years!
For this year's show, Aon Classic Car has published a book that retraces the history of this car, its appearances at various races, its sinking into oblivion, its restoration and then its rebirth!
You will be able to admire it in Hall 1 P 021 of this year’s Rétromobile Show
